Our Family Suites are a great option for single adults, couples or families. These fully-furnished and air-conditioned suites are located in the Monashee Residence building. We only have six family suites so don’t wait to book!

Parking
Short-term parking on campus is complimentary. You must register your license plate at check-in. You can park in Lots F, G or R.
Long-term monthly parking on campus can be purchased through HONK app or website. You can park in Lots F, G or R.
Parking is not permitted in reserved stalls or designated handicapped parking stalls (unless permit is shown).

EV Charging
We have eight EV charging stations – two in Lot F and six in Lot G (Charger ID: BCT1-BCT4). There’s no charge to use the charging stations, but they do have a max charging time of three hours.

The Front Desk is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Kitchen amenities
Kitchens in suites are set up with basic cooking supplies (pot, pan, plates, cutlery, dish cloths, etc) as well as all necessary cooking appliances (like fridge, oven, etc). Coffee is included.
Kitchens in common lounges have a fridge, oven, stove, microwave, coffee pot, kettle and toaster. They are not equipped with cooking supplies like pots, pans and dishware.
Bathroom amenities
Soap and a shampoo/condition package is provided in every bathroom.
Hair dryers and irons
Hair dryers and irons can be borrowed from Front Desk (they are not in rooms).
Linens and towels
Bedding, linens and towels are provided in all suites and rooms. If you are staying for a longer period, your room gets a full cleaning including fresh linens, towels, and garbage removal on a weekly basis (no daily housekeeping available).
Laundry and housekeeping
Card-operated laundry machines are located in each residence building. Laundry cards are available at the Front Desk in the Nechako residence building. Non-refundable balances may be added to each card in $5 increments.

Accessibility
All residence and academic buildings have elevators, as well as automatic entrance doors and ramps for easy building access. We have a few bigger suites/rooms with a roll-in shower. Please indicate if you need a wheelchair-friendly room at the time of booking (note: these rooms are not fully accessible!).
Internet and TV
Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available in all our buildings. Please note there are no TVs in bedrooms and suites. Bring your own laptop or tablet to stream your favourite shows.

Campus Amenities
A fitness room with various workout machines is available for use in Nechako at no cost. UBCO also has a fitness centre and indoor running loop (pay per use), beach volleyball courts, hiking trails, a self-guided tour and more. Learn more about all the amenities on campus.
Minors under 19
You must be 19 years or older to make a reservation and to check in without a parent or chaperone. A group of minors requires one adult per 8-10 minors.
Smoking, cannabis and alcohol policy
Smoking is not permitted in residence buildings or in common areas. Smoking outside will take place in designated smoking areas (Gazebos).
All activities involving cannabis products (storage, consumption, acquisition) must be carried out in accordance with all Federal and Provincial laws. All cannabis products and equipment must be stored in your personal bedroom/suite in a sealed and labelled container to keep the smell in and to avoid accidental consumption. Remediation charges will be applied if necessary.
Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed within the privacy of your room (not in hallways or common lounges). The drinking age in BC is 19 years.
The use of illegal drugs is not permitted.
Pet Policy
Pets are not permitted in summer accommodation. Guests bringing a service animal must show a valid government-issued “Guide and Service Dog Certificate” at check-in. Owner is responsible for the proper behaviour of their animal. The animal cannot at any time be left unattended in the room. Any damage caused by the service animal will be charged to the owner.
Cancellation Policy
For individual short-term reservations, you can cancel your reservation up until 48 hours prior to your arrival date. When you cancel your reservation within the 48 hours you will be charged 1-night + tax.
